About

The quote that started this

A while back I was helping a family member get a website sorted. Out of curiosity, they got a couple of quotes elsewhere first.

The numbers that came back were extraordinary — thousands of dollars, months of waiting, for a handful of pages that any competent developer could turn around in a week. They weren't being scammed exactly. They were just being quoted the way agencies quote everyone, and they had no way of knowing the number was unreasonable.

That's the gap Jay Amplify was built to fill.

I'm Josh

I've been building websites since 2014, when I started out at an SEO company and ran my own design agency alongside university — websites, logos, business cards, whatever people needed. Close to a hundred sites, all up.

Since then I've spent years on the other side of the fence: consulting at an enterprise software company, and working as a Customer Success Manager and Account Manager. That's where I learned what large organisations actually pay for software and digital work — and, more importantly, what all of it genuinely costs to deliver.

The gap between those two numbers is why $695 is possible.

Who I like working with

My favourite clients are the ones who tell me straight away that they don't really understand any of this.

Domains, hosting, SSL, SEO — it's a lot of jargon aimed at people who are already flat out running a business. And not knowing the terminology is exactly what gets small businesses overcharged, because it's hard to push back on a quote when you can't tell which parts are necessary.

I've run small businesses myself. I know you're wearing every hat there is and the website is the thing that keeps sliding down the list. So my job is to be the person you can ring who'll give you a straight answer, at a price that isn't taking advantage of what you don't know.

How I work

You deal with me from the first conversation through to launch. No account manager, no team to brief, no meetings you're quietly paying for.

You fill in a short questionnaire and send me some photos. I handle the writing, the design, the build, your domain, hosting and going live — and most sites are ready within a week.

I'm based in Brisbane and spend a fair bit of time down at Tweed Heads, so I work with businesses right across South East Queensland and Northern NSW.

We're Motivated By The Desire To Achieve.

But I must explain to you how all this mistaken idea of denouncing pleasure and praising pain was born and I will give you a complete account of the.
